ONLINE INSTRUCTION

Why Online Learning?

Online violin lessons are a wonderful and convenient choice for families with busy schedules, as well as for families who wish to save time and money. Online instruction is similar to the traditional in-person private lesson in that the student receives live instruction, in real time via Zoom, Skype or Google Hangouts in the comfort of the student's home or office. There is no driving, no walking, or waiting for the bus. If you have a cold or are recovering from an illness, lessons can still take place as scheduled.

Students and families who have chosen online violin instruction have been very pleased with its convenience and ease of use. Students can also have the advantage of recording their lessons directly onto their computer for later review.

Scheduling Flexibility

We are available 12 hours of the day so that lessons are possible in every time zone. We can be around the corner or around the world from each other.  Many students who travel have found this way of learning especially convenient. What's more, taking lessons consistently throughout the year is most beneficial. All you need are the following: high-speed internet connection, webcam, microphone, pencil, violin and bow, and your shoulder rest.

Who Should Study Online?

Online lessons are intended for students who have already had at least six months of violin instruction. Students of all ages are invited to sign up for the program. We offer two options: an Academic Year program from September to June, or a four-lesson package plan purchased as often as you like.

Summer online instruction is also offered. All students, including new students are welcome to participate.

Best of Both Worlds

Online Instruction and In-Person Lessons

Sometimes, families wish to have the best of both worlds; a violin program consisting of online and in-person lessons.  We are delighted to offer this popular option. All lesson times and dates will be arranged with each family in order to accommodate the student's schedule.

When Do We Begin lessons?

Online instruction will be arranged after an online "meet and greet" conference to determine the student's goals and to discuss the appropriate lesson time slot. To sign up for your complimentary online conference session, please e-mail us to schedule your appointment. It is important that both the student and parent be present during the "meet and greet" session.

Lessons will begin after all registration materials have been received.

Payment for online lessons is to be paid in advance. For the Academic Year program, lessons will be paid in ten monthly installments.
